Computational Methods for Debonding between Soil and Structure Components

This presentation is given as a 'Trial Lecture' as part of my PhD defense at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU. Traditionally at NTNU, a PhD candidate on the day of his/her defense gives two presentations: a Trial Lecture and a presentation of the PhD work. The topic of the trial lecture is revealed to the candidate ten working days prior to the day of the defense. The aim of the trial lecture is to evaluate the candidate's ability to undertake an exhaustive research on a new topic in a short time and present it in an educational manner.
